Bolivia Grants Six-Month E-Invoicing Extension to Taxpayer Groups 9-12

The Bolivian National Tax Service (SIN) has announced a significant deadline extension for thousands of taxpayers, providing them with more time to transition to the mandatory electronic invoicing system.
Details of the Extension
On September 11, 2025, the SIN published resolution No. 102500000036, officially postponing the e-invoicing mandate for taxpayers in groups 9, 10, 11, and 12. The mandatory switch, originally scheduled for October 1, 2025, has now been pushed back by six months to April 1, 2026.
This extension affects 27,973 taxpayers who were previously notified to make the transition.
What This Means for Businesses
During this extended transition period, running until March 31, 2026, affected businesses can continue to issue invoices using their current methods. This includes the temporary computerized billing system (SFV) or the traditional manual system with pre-printed invoices.
Taxpayers in groups 9-12 are encouraged to verify their status by using the “Consulta Modalidad Destino” tool on the SIN's official website or by reviewing the lists published in the relevant original resolutions. This extension gives these businesses valuable additional time to prepare their systems and ensure a smooth migration to the new online invoicing modality.
