Continuous Insurance Transformation of elipsLife with Comarch
elipsLife Netherlands, part of Swiss Life Group, successfully launched a modern insurance platform in collaboration with Comarch – replacing outdated legacy systems, improving operational efficiency, and laying the foundation for scalable growth in the Dutch market. The go-live of the new core platform in May 2025 marked a key milestone in elipsLife’s long-term transformation strategy.
The project's primary goal was to modernize elipsLife's employee benefits management system and integrate it into Swiss Life's global solution ecosystem.

Comarch delivered a comprehensive solution that included:
- Comarch Digital Insurance - an omnichannel front-office software.
- Comarch Life Insurance - a comprehensive back-office system for life, pension & health insurance.
- Comarch Insurance Claims - an end-to-end claims management software.
The project also involved integrating with more than a dozen external systems.
The case study highlights the challenges encountered during the project, such as incomplete documentation of the legacy system and evolving business requirements. The partnership overcame these obstacles through close collaboration and transparent communication. Another significant challenge was the complex data migration, which involved the entire customer portfolio and legacy data. High-performance algorithms were developed to automate the weekly process of data migrations and validation, ensuring data accuracy.
Ludovic Balon, Project Manager at Comarch, emphasized the importance of the partnership:
